More quilting from Modern Quilting Designs by Bethany Pease. I'm inspired. A pillow was a perfect way to practice new quilting ideas. Really want to do this on a full size quilt. Loving the pebbles in the leaves, or are they feathers. Either way, they're pretty fun.Scrap Attack over at Stitched in Color was just perfect timing. Great idea. I attacked the pinks and made progress. Found 3 pieces that are left~over from old projects and I will never use them again, so out they go. The rest will be used for a scrappy triangle or pyramid quilt. Feels so good to clean out a little.

I love it when the quilting is so right with the quilt that my eyes are going back and forth between the quilt and the quilting..when it all comes together to make the whole package. I'm always trying to make that happen and always looking for new quilt patterns. It seems so easy to get stuck in a meandering rut and lose inspiration when it comes times to quilt the quilt top and lets face it, by the time I'm done with the quilt top, I'm usually ready to move onto my next quilt. I ordered this book, 'MODERN QUILT DESIGNS' by Bethany Pease, right before the holidays and just got it. This book is full of fun, easy patterns for modern quilts. You really don't have to meander every quilt.
Quilted a tabletopper and love the way it came out. A fun afternoon was had by all. Makes me look forward to quilting the quilt as much as picking out the fabrics and piecing the top.

2011 - GrayFresh Lemons.
2012 - Tangerine
The word on the street is that the color for 2012 is tangerine. There's a quilt challenge, "The Tangerine Tango Quilt Challenge" hosted by, two more seconds. Can't say I have much of this color, but I have ideas. There's 2 categories, one for smaller quilts and projects, (tablerunners, pillows, etc.) and one for quilts. I have ideas for both but not much fabric that would officially be called tangerine.
