I had the idea for the circle blocks in my head but wasn't completely sure how I was going to construct them, so I did the only right thing...procrastinated! When I finally did them, they weren't that difficult. I took the snowball quilt pattern and divided it up and made paper piecing patterns. The center where all the seams came together I clipped a small circle to get rid of some of the bulk and then appliqued a small circle over the hole. The rest was all put together improv. Just started adding fabric. The quilting is also improv. I did all the sections differently. Lots of freedom...lots of fun...it needs a name. Fishsticks?
If I hadn't taken this challenge, I wouldn't have pushed myself to figure out these circles. Love the way they came out. These have to become part of a finished quilt by March 1 to be entered in the challenge. pressure...pressure..I can do it!
